Add to that meticulous craftsmanship, premium materials, and accessories at the height of elegance, and you get the very best in luxury electric cars. As the British team at Top Gear puts it, “the driving experience is more responsive and the cabin feels cozier than in any Tesla we’ve driven”.

In terms of pure design, it doesn’t fall short either, as the Xiaomi SU7 incorporates carbon fiber in a multitude of key areas (dashboard, seats, etc.), which helps reduce its weight while giving the whole vehicle a decidedly sporty look. One minor drawback: the seats seem a bit too close to the floor, which means your knees end up positioned a little too high.

In any case, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra offers by far the best value for the money. Performance, battery life, design, driving pleasure - it’s hard to find anything better at such a low price.
